Not I, Said the Duck
It shall be done!

It's official. I do not have to work on Superbowl Sunday. Huzzah!!!

So, as of this moment, my plans are to mosey on up to Maine that morning and party it up with y'all for the big game. I'm totally excited. The last two times the Patriots went to the Superbowl I was at Brandeis. Which was fun too, but it will be cool to finally see a Superbowl with the family.

Anyway, that's the plan. The only thing that could conceivably interfere with said plan is the goddamn weather. I swear to god if it snows that weekend, I may hurt someone.

Buy American!

Okay well, my absence of late has been due largely in part that everything going on in my personal reality sphere at the moment is either too uninteresting or too inappropriate for public viewing. Thus I could either babble inanely about running out of socks or what dog peed on me this week, or I could just allude to things in an obnoxiously vague way so as not to post anything I might regret later.

See? Now wouldn't it just have been easier on everyone if I'd stayed quiet?

Anyway. Life is... borderline good. Life *should* be exceptional. Once again the Patriots have clawed their way into the Super Bowl with very little suspense and a satisfying amount of skull crushing. I'm really looking forward to seeing Terrell Owens get his skull crushed on the 6th.

That said... I spent an hour today digging my car out of a five foot tall snowbank (with the much appreciated help of my delightful roommates) and then proceeded to drive to work in what was essentially a blizzard. Now there is a two and a half foot blanket of snow over the entire city and it is ass cold outside... and I have to go to work again tomorrow.

On the up-side, due to the snow emergency, I get a comp day for working today so there is a slight possibility I will be able to finagle a day off on February 6th and make an appearance in South Portland. We shall see...
