"A goat full of dynamite?! What are we gonna do???"
I had to give up on the Eagles-Vikings game, as entertaining as it was. I'm just too tired to listen to John Madden and Al Michaels speculate about whether or not TO actually scored a touchdown for the next half an hour. I mean... whatever. It probably wasn't a TD but no one challenged the call and I'm rooting for Philly anyway. :P
Happy Birthday to Melissa... a day late. I saw her yesterday, though, so it's okay. I had a lot of fun in Boston, even though I was only there for one night. Really one night was all I could afford. I need a job. Who'd a' thought you could miss a place called Beantown?
Just got back from a fun weekend in Boston. I thought I'd feel lame being back on my college campus so soon after graduating, but I didn't actually. I mean, it's not like I went to campus events or even really hung out in the dorms for any length of time... it was just good to see my friends again. Plus, I never actually spent the night on campus so that was cool. I stayed with Tasha the first night, after a bizarre trip to Logan airport to pick up our friend Peggy, during which we took a wrong turn and ended up driving in circles around Chelsea in the dark and eventually had to stop at this shady convenience store to ask directions from a really drunk (but very polite) guy while the guy behind the counter who barely spoke English stared blatantly and shamelessly at our respective asses. Peggy's boyfriend Mike was with us but he stayed outside to guard the car from the two fourteen year old boys on bicycles who were randomly hanging out in the parking lot.
The second night, I stayed with Kelli at her apartment in Medford, after eating a whole lot of Indian food and watching Pretty Woman at our friend Sarah's apartment. Apparently Kelli had never seen it. It was a lot of fun. We went to the Village after that and saw some more friends... and some people we didn't know and who reminded me of why I was glad to no longer be living on a college campus... Anyway, it was a good weekend, and now I'm back and trying to figure out how I can possibly afford to move down there in the near future, although the more I think about it the more it seems damn near impossible because it's difficult to move to a new place when you're essentially broke... and have a cat. Whatever. I'll figure it out. But for now, it's looking like I'll be staying in South Portland and saving money by living with my wonderfully benevolent parents. I'm not complaining. |
