Holy buckets!
Patriots win AGAIN. Take that, Indy fans!
I'd gloat more but I have a paper to write and a Tony Danza movie to watch...
uh... yeah. I wanna go home.
So, it's official. I have turned into a whiny, discontented senior, practically overnight... or maybe it's been coming on for awhile and I just haven't noticed... either way, it has happened and on some level I feel really bad about it but mostly I just want to go home.
Brandeis is in kind of a bad state at the moment. There is so much anger everywhere I go. It's really horrible, some of the things people are saying and doing around here and as much as I feel that this university and the people here need help and support, I can't help feeling like there is nothing I can do and it's making me very sad. So I just can't wait to get out of here and go enjoy Thanksgiving with people who really do love and respect each other, and can show it, and are truly thankful for all they have.
So there you have it. I didn't think it would happen quite so fast but, with all that has happened, it really isn't surprising. Maybe next semester after I've had a break and things have settled down I'll feel differently... we'll see.
I'll be home Wednesday afternoon. :) Demonic raisins, I rebuke you!
This guy is pretty funny. I am all about flesh-eating weasels.
Tahiti is not in Europe
I just watched one of my favorite movies. :) I am happy now. Goodnight!
Long walks on the beach?
Hopefully my anatomy professor will find it amusing and not offensive that I answered the homework question regarding the spermatic cord in the form of a personal ad. Hopefully.
Congrats to the Pats! I do so love the sound of 8-2. The game itself was a little ugly at times but even so, our boys dominated throughout. It was hugely satisfying. (btw, please tell me I'm not the only one who, at first glance, thought Parcells and Belichick were making out in that photo). Drinking bourbon while Ovid eats my brain...
That could be the plan tonight, although the less Ovid is actually involved the better. I have to write a paper prospectus for Monday... luckily the paper only has to use one of the stories from Metamorphoses so I won't have to read very much of it in order to write the prospectus.
A big Happy Birthday to Tasha! She's 22 today. Congratulations!
Actually despite the fact that I'm not on duty for once, I may not go out tonight, since I imagine I'll be tired and cold and want to make sure I get enough work done today so I can watch tomorrow's football game worry-free.
But a weblog is probably not the best place to "think out loud", so to speak, so I'm going to stop now.
Ten more days of class this semester. Only six where I actually have class. I think I can make it. Attack of the mitogens!
Wanna know about kidney function? Ask me anything. Go on, ask!
Now if I can only get through this damn paper, I'll be done with all my midterms... and it's about time considering the last day of class is exactly three weeks away. Happy Birthday Andrew!
I'm finally back at school after spending a pretty delightful day and a half at home. Had fun hanging out with everyone AND finally seeing the movie Aliens. I only wish I'd been a little more relaxed... this physiology exam looms over me like a dark cloud of evil wherever I go. So I was a little wound up... but I still had a great time.
Now I'm back in Waltham. Bleh... but congrats to the Titans for obliterating the Fins. Ooh, the warm fuzzies...
Fritos rhymes with Cheetos
So I haven't had any real sleep in approximately 36 hours... so I'm going to bed soon... but I just want to say that it's wonderful that Patriots keep winning and everything... but what the hell was that? This Brady-Belichik voodoo is freaking me out. Brady plays mediocre until Belichik pulls some impossibly bizarre play out of his ass in the 4th and then Brady morphs into Super-Q! and wins the game. It's scary, man.
Okay, on one other note... while I waas watching the game earlier, I dozed off (being hopelessly sleep-deprived) but it was a weird nap because at one point I woke up to someone's voice in my ear and I realized the phone had rung and I had answered it without waking up. The person on the other line freaked out a little bit... I still have no idea what I said to her...
It's been a strange day. Going to sleep now. |
